Introduction to Tactical Rifles

The course focuses on the basics of the military AR15 rifle and AK 47/74 platformed rifles, however, we welcome any tactical rifle. We learn the history, theory of operation, and basic use. This class is designed for a shooter who has recently purchased a military-style rifle and would like to know the basics of use. This class is a prerequisite for the Tactical Carbine courses.

This course is the first class in a series that will help you learn basic tactical skills using a military carbine for close-quarters personal protection both inside and outside the home. The class is 7 to 8 hours one day or broken up over two days, and includes classroom work, hands-on dry-fire practice, and live-fire drills.

The Carbine 2 course follows the Carbine 1 course and builds on those skills. In addition to some review, the Carbine 2 course will dive into much more advanced techniques and include the use of your tactical pistol skills for low light encounters. The class is 7 to 8 hours one day or broken up over two days, and includes classroom work, hands-on dry-fire practice, and live-fire drills. Pistols are not required.

  • Pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse (optional)
  • 500 rounds of rifle and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition

This course is our final segment designed for individuals utilizing the carbine rifle for protection of the home. Your home presents unique challenges with small rooms, hallways and multiple entry points. Understanding these challenges is a key element in preparing yourself for home protection. The class is 7 to 8 hours one day or broken up over two days, and includes classroom work, hands-on dry-fire practice and live-fire drills.Pistols are not required.

R1000 builds on the fundamentals of long-range marksmanship learned in R500 and R600 to engage targets out to 1000 yards. These skills apply to competitive shooting, hunting or just ringing steel at long range. This is an Advance level carbine course. This course is for those who will not settle for less than being a master with carbine. Pressure will enhance your previously learned skills as well as add advanced firearms handling techniques. You will devote more time to advancing your skills and creating more economy of motion and efficiency using advanced manipulations, short reaction times, and quick transitions to your shooting platform. By adding pressure to the shooter’s environment this course will allow students to evaluate their proficiency and build a more productive platform for their success.
